Check out these ☆extraordinary☆ black teens (of 2014)
It's a common misconception that black teens are less likely to succeed, lazy, and don't care about school. In fact, studies have shown the complete opposite! Black students are more positive about school than white students.
Of course, there are many more extraordinary black teens out there. Please consider that other people are brilliant in their own ways and grades and SAT scores aren't an accurate way to measure all intelligence. Even IQ scores don't cover everything. These students are extraordinary because they strived to do their best and they succeeded at such a young age!
Grace Bush, 16, is one of nine children. She was home schooled by her mother. She started pursuing her high school and college degrees at the same time at 13. She has now graduated both high school and college and she plans to go to law school. Grace's older sister graduated college at 18 and is working on her masters degree. She has another sister who's 17 and about to graduate from college this summer.
Kwasi Enin was accepted into all 7 Ivy League schools this year at the age of 17. He has straight A's and a SAT score of 2,250 out of 2,400. His parents are immigrants from Ghana. He is from Long Island, NY. According to many news sources, he chose Yale.
Patrick Peoples, a NC high school senior was accepted into 7 Ivy League schools. He told interviewers that he applied to all of them just to see if he would get in one, unlike Kwasi Enin, who made it his goal to be accepted into all 7 Ivy League schools.

17 year old Akintunde Ahmad from Oakland has a 5.0 GPA and SAT score of 2,100 out of 2,400. He was accepted into Yale and was offered spots at top universities. Many news stories rambled on and on about his appearance, and how surprising it is that this black kid with dreds and hip clothing is actually intelligent. But I find that completely irrelevant.
Four African girls (I have no idea where the fourth is in this picture!) developed a urine powered generator. This is a life changing invention that could possibly change the future of science and how we generate power! The girls are: Duro-Aina Adebola, Akindale Abiola, Faleke Oluwatoyin, and Bello Eniola. One liter of urine provides six hours of energy.
